Fae Romaine Kireta, 89, entered her final resting place on February 8, 2022. It was her wish to be at home surrounded by her family when she made the final and peaceful journey to be with Dad (even she referred to Charlie as Dad) who went to his final rest in 2016. He was her soul mate and loving husband for 67 years.
Born in Enhaut on October 7, 1932, Fae was the daughter of Olive and Ervin Staub. She attended Swatara High School and participated in both field hockey and basketball. She had a number of jobs but the one she liked most was AMP, where she made lifelong friends and enjoyed their occasional lunch outings.
Fae was a member of Prince of Peace Parish in Steelton (formerly St. Mary''s). She will be remembered for her loving, kind, caring and above all fun personality. She loved being around friends and meeting new people. Fae and Charlie spent a lot of time at their second home in Driftwood, PA with many friends and enjoyed watching and feeding the wildlife. Traveling to the Great Smokey Mountains and Branson, MO as often as they could satisfied her appetite for shopping and sightseeing. She loved entertaining her thirteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren and myriad of step grandchildren at the holiday gatherings at the Enhaut family home. Coordinating a sit down meal for over 50 was a task they loved. Coming from a family of twelve, marrying into a family of twelve and having a family of eight created a real sense of togetherness.
Fae is survived by; two sons, Andrew G. Kireta and wife Linda, Mechanicsburg and Alan R. Kireta, Harrisburg; two daughters, Rosanne Smoker and husband Wilmer, Thompsontown and Sandra K. Chilcote and husband Thomas, Mechanicsburg; one sister, Ella Jane Yetter, Harrisburg; one brother, Gene G.
