Francis “Frank” Saluta, 95, formerly of Steelton, passed away at Capitol Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
Frank served in the US Navy and was a retired government employee. He was a member of the former St. Ann Roman Catholic Church and a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, both of Steelton.
Frank was the son of the late Ignatius and Elizabeth Saluta. He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Genevieve “Jennie” Paluscio Saluta; his sister Gloria McClain and husband James McCLain; brother Albert Saluta of Bakersfield, CA; niece Suzanne Myers of Highspire; son-in-law Paul Okum of Sarasota; and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by two daughters Ann Okum of Sarasota, FL and Francine Leo of Harrisburg; three grandchildren Stacy Okum of Bradenton, FL, Trevor Leo and wife Stacy of Middletown, and Marissa Beidler and husband Adam of Reading; one great-grandchild Cameron Young of Middletown; and sisters Patricia Turek (widow of Paul) of York, and Bernadine Myers (widow of Richard) of Highspire; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Committal Service will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Harrisburg on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with Father Steven J. Arena officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Knights of Columbus at www.kofc.org http://www.kofc.org.
