James Neidlinger

James R. Neidlinger, 56, of Steelton, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Penn State Holy Spirit Medical Center. Born in Harrisburg, Jim was the son of Shirley (Dare) Neidlinger, and the late Milton E. Neidlinger, Jr. He was the loving husband of Jody (Cunjak) Neidlinger, with whom he shared 29 years of marriage.

Jim was an official for the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association and was often seen officiating at school sports events. He was also a clock operator for the Steel-High Rollers Football and Basketball games. He belonged to many clubs around Steelton, including the St. Lawrence Club, the Bressler Club, the Dutch Club, and the Sons of Italy in Colonial Park. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved Penn State, the Philadelphia Flyers, and the Baltimore Orioles. Most of all, Jim was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband, son, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all.

In addition to his wife and mother, Jim is survived by his children Samantha Neidlinger (Stephen), Mollie Neidlinger, and Nicholas Neidlinger (Danielle); grandchildren Breylen, Messiah, and Za’Rae; brother Milton Neidlinger, III (Mary); and sister Kimberly Messner (Robert); as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Gladys Cunjak; and Sister-in-law, Gina Cunjak.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S Harrisburg Street in Oberlin. A Visitation will take place prior to service from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Roller Nation Foundation at www.rollernationfoundation.org.
