Jill M. Perez, 60, of Harrisburg, formerly of Steelton, transitioned into eternal life on July 1, 2021, after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born on May 17, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Earl S. and Lucy F. (Rohacek) Coleman. She was also preceded in death by her sister Tina M. McClendon, her brother Douglas E. Coleman, and her nephew Earl S. Coleman III.
Jill attended Steelton-Highspire School District and was a former secretary for the Borough of Steelton until her diagnosis. She loved spending time in the kitchen, making delicious meals for her family. She was an avid fan of Luther Vandross and loved watching sports, from football to basketball to UFC. Most of all she loved her family, who were the sunshine of her life, including her furbabies. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.
Jill leaves to celebrate her life, her husband of 40 years, George R. Perez of Harrisburg; her children, son Thomas E. Henderson Jr. and fiancé Amy E. Foster of Steelton, daughter Unique N. Perez and fiancé Darius L. Johnson of Enola, and son Antonio A. Perez of Harrisburg; her brother, Earl S. Coleman Jr. (Carol) of Steelton; her sisters, Debra A. Figley (Steve) of Marysville, Catherine E. Coleman of Harrisburg, and Frances M. Leitner (Rick) of Harrisburg; her grandsons, Darien L. Perez of Scott Air Force Base Illinois, Jonathan R. Ferrer (Joselynn) of Harrisburg, DeShawn J. Johnson of Steelton, and Peyton T. Henderson of Steelton; her great-granddaughter Iridessa N. Ferrer of Harrisburg; her aunt Nancy L. Mateer of Harrisburg; her brother-in-law Hortencio A. Perez of Harrisburg; her sisters-in-law Valerie J. Perez of Steelton, and Audrey A. Perez of Harrisburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Friday July 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St. Oberlin. A visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in the funeral home.
