John M. Cavrich, 87, of Chambers Hill, died Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in his home.
He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War and a retired Superintendent of Bethlehem Steel Corp. and a bartender at the Fifth Ward Club for many years. He was a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton, Deutscher Quartet Club, American Legion Post 420 and St. Lawrence Club.
John was the son of the late Nikola and Anna Pilsitz Cavrich and is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Kaye E. Pugh Cavrich; one son, John J. Cavrich of Chambers Hill; two daughters, Michele M. Witman and husband, Claud of Middletown and Anita A.Cavrich of Chambers Hill; one brother, Nicholas Cavrich of Canyon, TX; eight grandchidren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one son, John M. Cavrich, Jr.; a grandson, Chase Cavrich Zerbe; great grandson, Ridley C. Bennetch; two brothers, Nicholas and Charles Cavrich and a sister, Eva Witman.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 12 Noon in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin with Rev. Jonathan P. Sawicki officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:30 am until 12 Noon in the funeral home.
