John Mummert

John Dennis Mummert Jr., age 53, died on Monday, August 30th, 2021 at his home in Elizabethtown, Pa. He was born to John and Nancy (Sculley) Mummert in Harrisburg, Pa on February 29th, 1968.

He was a brilliant mechanic who was passionate about his once owned Service Center and Texaco gas station. He was an avid jeep lover and enjoyed taking his kids for a ride with the top and doors off when they were young.

John admired his granddaughter dearly by showing off her photo and telling everyone he knew about his “firecracker.” You could always find John enjoying a variety of music and visits from close friends. His children will remember him for his love for his tools, his music collection and his contagious laugh.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved dog, Zoey. He is survived by his companion, Holly Fornwalt; his children Johnnessa (Thomas) Ritz, John (Aliyah) Mummert, and Trinity Mummert; his granddaughter, Hazel Ritz; his brother, Kody Snyder; and the mothers of his children Roberta and Karen.

John leaving this world has been an immeasurable loss for his children and close friends. He will be deeply missed.
