John Szivos

John R. Szivos, 83, of Steelton, died Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in Carolyn''s House of Hospice of Central PA, Susquehanna Twp.

He was Peacetime Veteran of the United States Army, a retired Civil Engineer for the PA Dept. of Transportation, life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and a member of St. Lawrence Lodge #13 Croatian Fraternal Union.

John was the son of the late John and Mary Deaner Szivos and is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elaine Bahoric Szivos; a sister, Frances Szivos Fonner; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Kramarich and Virginia Michtich; nieces, Dona Dmitrovic and husband, Joseph, Bobette Williams and husband, Chuck, Maria Michtich Morris and husband, Reg, and Kelly Fonner Keller and husband, Bob; nephews, Scot Kramarich, Joseph Michtich and wife, Amy, and Brad Kramarich and wife, Kate; great niece and goddaughter, Marta Williams and husband, Will; great niece, Lucy Kramarich; great nephews, Joseph Dmitrovic and Michael and Luka Michtich; great great nieces, Ava and Gaby Dmitrovic; great great nephews, Henry and Elias Dmitrovic; and his (special "brother"), Gary Miceli.

Graveside Services and Committal will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 10:00 am in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with full military honors. There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.
