Capt. Lehner K. "Moe" Bittle went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 5, 2024. He was born on August 16, 1937 to Charles L. Bittle and Elinor E. (Slusser) Bittle. He lived in Harrisburg, PA all his life.

Moe was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Joanne Davidson; his twin brother Larry E. Bittle; and infant grandson Brooke Hetrick. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Kathleen (Williams) Bittle; his daughter Kristy Kunselman (Jason); his son Adam Bittle (Alicia); five grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Moe loved his savior Jesus, his family and his country which he served for 30 years in the US Naval Reserve, attaining the rank of Captain. He also volunteered for many years as commanding officer of the Naval Sea Cadet Corps. He was on the board of directors of the US Navy League. Most of his career he worked as a Cost Accountant for TRW/Chromalloy.

Moe was an active member of Trinity PCA in Harrisburg and an associate member of Grace EPC in Leesburg, FL. He loved to travel, especially cruising. He visited all the continents except Antarctica. He loved gardening woodworking, and being with his family.

A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Trinity PCA, 6098 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, PA 17109 at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. A Visitation will be held in the church from 10:00-11:00 on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Central PA at www.hospiceofcentralpa.org; or to Trinity PCA at the address above.
