Linda Louise ( Balchunas ) Brillinger of Paxtang, died at her residence Sunday, February 20, 2022 by her husband''s side.

She was born in Danville,PA on November 21, 1940 to her father, Albert M. Balchunas and mother, Betty L. (Bower) Balchunas. She was the oldest of seven children. They were a large and loving family who stayed close throughout their entire lives. Linda lead a full and beautiful life and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was the wife of James R. Brillinger of Paxtang Borough, Dauphin County, PA. The center of her life was her husband of 50 years. She graduated from Messiah College and spent many years teaching Home Economics at East Pennsboro School District. She loved her dogs throughout her life and enjoyed walks around the neighborhood talking to her neighbors. Linda was highly social and generous with her time. She worked countless hours of community service, served on numerous committees within her church and on the Lenker Manor-Paxtang Women''s Club serving as President for two years. In her retirement she traveled to many exciting places and loved socializing with new and old friends on cruises.

She is survived by her husband James R, Brillinger, Paxtang: daughter, Laura A., wife of the late Ereno L. Lewis III of Harrisburg:. son, James R. Brillinger of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Ereno J., husband of Chelsea M. (Sutton) Lewis of Harrisburg and Erica L. wife of Raif Watts of Brooklyn, NY. Her brothers and sisters are: the late Ralph Balchunas, husband of Kay Balchunas of Bainbridge, Alane Balchunas of Marysville, the late Jeanee Decker, wife of Bill Decker of Marysville, Matthew Balchunas of Marysville, Stephen Balchunas, husband of Judy Balchunas of Harrisburg, and Chris Balchunas, husband of Karen Balchunas of Wapwallopen, PA; and brother-in law, Henry B. Brillinger II of Mechanicsburg, PA.

Graveside Services will be held at the Mount Rose Cemetery in York, PA. on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 12:15 PM with the Rev. Dr. Alan C. Wenrich officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.
