Manuel Navarro, 88, of Steelton, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021 in his home.
He was the retired owner of Navarro and Sons General Contractors Inc., a member of the former St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish and St. Lawrence Club, all of Steelton.
Manuel was the son of the late Pablo Navarro and Cesarea Gutiersez Navarro. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Consuelo Espinoza Hernandez Navarro; three sons, Juan M. Navarro and wife, Giorgina of Oberlin, Paul J. Navarro and wife, Joanne of Middletown, and Hector J. Navarro and wife, Bo of Fort Myers, FL; four daughters, Maria R. Navarro-Estright of Harrisburg, Grace Navarro of Steelton, Patricia M. Navarro of Durango, Colorado, Guadalupe Palovitz Rados and husband, Bill of Berlin, MD; two sisters, Aurora and Maria Luisa Navarro, both of Mexico; 11 grandchildren, Paul W., Marco, Nick, Angelica, Juan, Pablo, Fernando, and Jose Navarro, Kristin Estright, Delaney and Andrew Palovitz; and five great grandchildren, Jude, Beau, Emily and Jacob Navarro and Evryn Kennedy; numerous nieces, nephews and a cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 10:00 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 815 S. Second St., Steelton with Rev. Jonathan P. Sawicki as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Swatara Twp. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin. Recitation of the Rosary 7:00 pm.
