Mark Hazen Willits, 62, of Enhaut, died Friday, March 11, 2022 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was a retired Security Officer - Motor Patrol for Dauphin County.
Mark was a member of American Legion Post 420 - Steelton; former president of the American Legion Riders; member, Sons of American Legion Post 402 and Past Officer;
He received numerous awards including Winner of the 2011 Blue Cap of the Year - Post 420, State of Pennsylvania and American Legion Riders Post 998 Rider of the Year.
In 2013, he had the honor of Placing a Wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and he served in the Funeral Service Honor Guard.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Frederick & Beverly Myrtle Jones Willits; his brother, William L. Willits and his favorite dogs, Sunshine & Daisee Moon. He is survived by his brother, Michael F. Willits & wife Glenda, Punta Gorda, FL; brother, Jeff S. & wife Cindy Bucher Willits, Linglestown; brother David Scott Willits, Middletown & brother Scott Eric Willits & wife Monica, Mentor, OH.
Graveside Services and Burial will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 10:30 am in Paxtang Cemetery, 490 N Paxtang Avenue, Harrisburg, with Scott Fonner, Chaplain of the Legion Riders, Officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Oberlin.
