Mary Ellen Wiedeman

Mary Ellen (Burba) Wiedeman, 80, of Hummelstown and formerly of Lenker Manor, Swatara Twp., passed peacefully on Saturday, October 16, 2021 in The Middletown Home.

She was a retired Administrative Assistant for the PA State System of Higher Education for the Commonwealth of PA and a member of St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, Swatara Twp.

Mary Ellen enjoyed crafting, cooking, sewing, decorating, baking, traveling and cruises.

She was the daughter of the late John and Frances Pretko Burba and is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph A. "Skip" Wiedeman; one daughter, Pamela A. Wiedeman and her husband, Dave Weaver of Hershey; two sons, Joseph "Jay" Wiedeman of Paxtang and Gregory A. Wiedeman and his wife, Bridget Shannon Wiedeman of Ardmore; and two granddaughers, Abby Wiedeman and Tessa Wiedeman of Ardmore. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Burba Kedel.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin, with Rev. James E. Lease, her Pastor, officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:00 am in the funeral home.
