Mary Goles

Mary E. Eckrote Goles, 74, of Steelton, died Sunday, September 24, 2023 in UPMC Lititz Hospital.

She was the retired owner/operator of Mary Goles Hairstyling and Boutique in Steelton and a former receptionist for Cleveland Brothers and Dauphin Manor. She was a member of the former St. Peter Roman Catholic Church and Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton. She was a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Middletown, St. Aloysius Lodge No. 42 K.S.K.J., St. Lawrence Lodge No. 13 Croatian Fraternal Union and American Businesswomens Assn.

Mary was a beautiful person with a big heart to help anyone in need. She was a wonderful wife, mother and Nana, who spoiled her grandchildren.

She was the daughter of the late Emerson and Rita Battagliotti Eckrote. She is survived by her husband, Anthony J. Goles, Jr.; two daughters, Christina M. Stark and her husband, James R. of Steelton and Cynthia M. Goles, at home; a brother, Emerson Eckrote II of Harrisburg; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Madison Stark.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 11:00 am in Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Timothy Sahd, her Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in her church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.
