Michael Cordas, Jr., Do

Michael Cordas, Jr., DO, 79, of Steelton, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021.

He was born in Harrisburg on November 11, 1941, son of the late Michael, Sr. and Stella Cordas. Michael was a graduate of Steelton-Highspire High School, Susquehanna University, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was a founding father of sports medicine, associated with Penn State Sports, Susquehanna University Sports, and various high schools in Central PA.

Michael was an avid gun collector, political enthusiast, car enthusiast, and lover of all animals.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Cheryl Cordas of Harrisburg; one son, Michael T. Cordas of Harrisburg; and one brother Thomas Cordas of Colorado.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 15, 2021 at 2:00 pm in St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, 601 South Harrisburg St., Oberlin with the Rev. Christopher Rocknage, officiating. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in the church. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.
