Milton Edwin Neidlinger, Jr., 84, of Camp Hill, passed away at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Milton Edwin Neidlinger, Sr. and Edith Marie (Books) Neidlinger. He was the loving husband of Shirley Ann (Dare) Neidlinger, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.
Milton proudly served in the US Air Force from 1956-1960. He was a member of Lewisberry UMC. In his spare time, he loved fishing, music, lounging in a soft chair, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and recitals. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Orioles fan. Family was most important to Milton. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be very much missed.
In addition to his wife, Milton is survived by his children Milton Neidlinger, III and wife Mary, Kimberley Messner and husband Robert, and Jim Neidlinger and wife Jody; his grandchildren Jessica Thompson and boyfriend Justin, Milton Neidlinger, IV, Danielle Robison and husband Adam, Ryan Thompson and girlfriend Mary, Samantha Neidlinger and boyfriend Stephen, Jennifer Landis and husband Tyler, Mollie Neidlinger, Nicholas Neidlinger and girlfriend Danielle, Daniel Messner and wife Joline, and Tim Messner; great-grandchildren Aly Thompson and boyfriend Ryan, Jayson Sandusky, Grace Robison, Breylen Mundy, Liam Robison, Messiah Mundy, ZaRae Mundy, Evelyn Landis, Kayce Thompson, and several step great-grandchildren; and brother James Neidlinger and wife Brenda; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Neidlinger.
