Nathan Leonard Rush, 73, of Shippensburg died Monday, March 11, 2024 at Wellspan Chambersburg Hospital.
He was a retired Professional Artist and Media Developer for Volvo Road Machinery. He graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1972. Creating art was central to what he loved. Beyond his artistic talents, he was a gifted musician, and enjoyed signing as well as playing multiple instruments. He was most passionate about Tamburitza music, and throughout his life played the bugarija in several orchestras. He was most importantly a man of deep faith and a Sub Deacon in the Eastern Orthodox Church. He attended St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, Oberlin.
Nathan was the son of the late John M. and Mary Patricia (Sepcic) Trcic. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Trcic. He and is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jane E. (Beamer) Rush; two daughters, Patricia Emerson (Daniel) and Victoria Rush (Jacob Lawrence); and 5 grandchildren, Charles, William, and Alexander Emerson and Olive and Penelope Lawrence; and one brother, Matthew Trcic.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 11:00 am in St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, 601 S. Harrisburg St. Oberlin with Rev. Christopher Rocknage, officiating. Burial will follow at Churchville Cemetery. There will be no viewing or visitation. Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin are handling arrangements.
