Patrick Matthews

Patrick Matthews, 74, of Linden, VA, formerly of Steelton, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. Born in Harrisburg, Patrick was the son of the late Frank and Mary Jane (Mountz) Matthews.
Patrick was a lifelong member of the Steelton VFW and played Soprano Bugle for the Westshoremen Drum and Bugle Corps from 1963-1967. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be very much missed.
Patrick is survived by his daughter, Michele Matthews (husband, Bob Eichler); granddaughter, Valerie Eichler; and siblings Mary Jane Jones (husband Terry), Michael Matthews (wife, Linda), and Frank “Kelly” Matthews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Matthews.
A Graveside Memorial Service will take place at Shoop’s Cemetery, 4332 Lexington Street Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17109, on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Alan Wenrich officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
