Peggy Galbraith

Peggy Ann Galbraith, 89, of Swatara Twp., died Wednesday, August 17, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Peggy was born in Steelton, on July 15, 1933, to the late Kenneth and Mildred Butler Haas Sr.

She was a retired receptionist for the PA Department of Transportation and had worked at Hill''s Department Store. Her incredible 89 years on earth were filled with lots of love, laughter, and great memories,
Peggy always loved hosting a full house for Christmas Eve, the Super Bowl, Thanksgiving, and any other occasion. She was known for her straight face during a game of poker. Many looked forward to her famous yearly sand tart cookies. Peggy most of all loved her husband Bill who was by her side for 57 years. Peggy and Bill traveled the world together and could never pass up a comp stay at a casino! Peggy''s life was full of memories made with her children and grandchildren. We will miss our Peggy more than words can describe but we were so blessed to have so many incredible memories with a real firecracker.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, William "Bill" Galbraith; one son, Steve Shipp; one daughter Charlene Corbacio (Joe); two grandchildren, Harrison Shipp (Adrinia) and Josie Dougherty (Kevin); two brothers, Ken Haas Jr. and William Haas; 3 sister-in-laws, Helen Beachley (Leon), Mary Lou Fanus (Gary) and Sandy Pierce (Bob); one brother-in-law, Dan Galbraith Sr. (Beverly) and numerous nieces and nephews.
