Raymond F. Rodgers, 86, of Lenker Manor, died Monday, January 17, 2022 in his home.
He was a graduate of Harrisburg Catholic High School and Villanova University. He was a retired Chief of Domestic Relations for Dauphin County, an Associate in the development role of March of Dimes, and a former employee of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg. He was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, Swatara Twp. and Past President and member of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, Capital Area Chapter, where he received their Lifetime Achievement Award. Ray was a longtime fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, the Phillies and the Villanova Wildcats.
Ray was the son of the late Hugh and Mary Ellen Lawler Rodgers and the widower of Jeannette A. Coccia Rodgers. He is survived by one brother, William Rodgers and his wife, Mary Alice of Harrisburg; and 25 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Rosemary Flamini, Patricia Griffiths and Christina Rodgers and his brothers, Hugh, Jr., Thomas and Richard Rodgers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11:00 am in St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, Swatara Twp. with Rev. James E. Lease, his Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A visitation will be held in the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.
