Richard Szabo

Richard William Szabo, 61, of Swatara Township, died Tuesday March 8, 2022 in his home.

He was a former Parts Manager for the former Francis for Fords Automotive Dealership and was involved in all the clubs in Steelton. Richard was an avid boater on the Susquehanna River and Raystown Lake. He was part of the original generation of the Hill Island, Potter County Snowmobile Club and loved spending time in the Coudersport Area. He loved Polka Music and Polka Dancing.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Bela S. Szabo and Catherine J. Nazaj Szabo and is survived by two sisters, Paula A. Szabo, Greenacres, FL and Kathy J. Gabner and husband Larry, Marble, NC and his live-in Companion, Nichole M. Henry and his dog, Luna.

Graveside Services and Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 11:00 am in Holy Cross Cemetery, 4075 Derry Street, Harrisburg, with the Rev. Fidelis Umukoro, OP, Parochial Vicar, St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, Officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Oberlin.
