Robert L. Allen

Robert L. Allen, 95, of Oberlin, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 in UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.

He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a graduate of Lebanon Valley College, and retired after 32 years from the Environmental Protection Agency in Philadelphia as an Environmental Manager. 

Robert was born in Cornwall, PA on February 18, 1929 to the late Luke M. and Alma P. Roberts Allen. He was married to his loving wife, Lillian O. Jones Allen for 66 years, prior to her passing in March of 2022. 

He is survived by a brother, Harry Allen; niece, Lynn Allen, nephew, Harry Luke Allen, niece, Brenda Fulton-Darensbourg, as well as many other nieces, nephews and cherished friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 South Harrisburg St., Oberlin with Rev. Jonathan P. Sawicki officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the funeral home.
