Robert L. Haines Jr., 80, of Hummelstown, passed away at home on Monday May 17, 2021

He was born in Harrisburg on January 15, 1941, the son of the late Robert L. Haines Sr. and the former Dorothy E. (Ridge) Mikan, and she survives. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Elizabeth M. (Brown) Haines.

Robert was a graduate of John Harris High School class of 1960. He worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania - Department of Education, and retired from the PA Game Commission in 2004. Robert was an avid hunter and dedicated bowler, having played on numerous leagues in the area. Robert also really enjoyed RV camping, and camped most weekends.

He is survived by his mother; two children, Darla L. Siegel and her husband Robert, of Vienna and Virginia and Robert L. Haines III, of Hummelstown; five grandchildren, Robert, Megan, Charlotte, Samuel and Adam.

Funeral services will be held on Friday May 21, 2021 at 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, 357 South Harrisburg St. OBERLIN, with the Rev. Mark Heldreth, Officiating. A Viewing will be held on Friday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in the funeral home. Burial at the conclusion of services will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp. Current COVID-19 Guidelines will be enforced.
