Robert Vogel

Robert W. Vogel, Sr., 88, of Steelton, died Monday, June 5, 2023 in Oak Hill Village, Middletown, surrounded by his loving family.

He was a retired Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service, United States Navy Veteran and former member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steelton.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Joan A. Kist Vogel, his son Harry J. Vogel, Sr., and is survived by two sons, Robert W. Vogel, Jr. and wife Cathy and Dennis E. Vogel and wife Vicki; one daughter, Denise A. Sviben and husband, Fred; grandchildren, Kristin, Harry, Jr., Kaitlyn, Tanner and Lyndsey; great-grandchildren, Faith, Madilyn, Ava, Alice and Juliana; brother William Vogel and wife Eva; sister, Helen Isenberg and husband Robert; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 357 South Harrisburg St., Oberlin, with Rev. Dr. Alan C. Wenrich, Officiating. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial at the conclusion of services will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
