Ruben Garcia, Sr.

Ruben Garcia, Sr., 84, of Harrisburg, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Andres S. and Evangelista (Ortiz) Garcia. He was the loving husband of Cecilia (Mika) Garcia, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.

Ruben was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church. He loved cars, animals of all kinds, and weightlifting.

In addition to his wife, Ruben is survived by his son Ruben Garcia, Jr. and his girlfriend Amanda Hanna; his grandchildren Ruben, Natasha, Salvatore, Sergio, Aiyana, and Shakira; his great-grandchildren Ariana, Rosie, Devon, Chaton, Jaylen, Sage, and Maya; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and his siblings Andres Garcia, Jr., Gisbel Garcia, Iris Heisey, Elsie Claudio, Avidail Garcia, Everlidys Garcia, and Luz Miriam Rivera; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Angel Garcia and Albit Garcia; sister Irais Garcia; and great-grandson Dakota.
