Slobodanka Balaban

Slobobanka Balaban age 67, passed away in her home in Hershey, PA on Monday, August 15th, 2022.

A daughter of Dzuro and Stana Balaban. Slobobanka also known as Boba was born on August 31, 1954 in Dvar, Bosnia.

She is survived by her Son, Admir Menic, Daughter Nela Balaban and Daughter-in-Law, Erica Menic; as well as her grandchildren, Joshua Sierra Jr., Maria Barajas, Conner Barajas and Tony Barajas.

Boba was an amazing woman. She came to America in 1995 from Bosnia with her two children, no family, no English and made something out of nothing. She always wanted the best for her kids and did anything she could do for them. Boba was a member of St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church in Steelton. She always had 3 or more jobs to make sure her kids were provided for. To know her is to love her. There isn''t anything she wouldn''t do for someone she loved or even a stranger. One thing you wouldn''t do is leave her house hungry, as soon as you walk in the door she was trying to feed you and would get mad if you didn''t eat. She will be truly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 11:00 am in St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, with the Rev. Ilija Balach, Officiating. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery at the conclusion of services. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the church.
