Stephen Vulich

Stephen Vulich was born in Harrisburg, PA on October 7, 1937. He graduated from Steelton High School and received a Bachelor Degree of Science in Biology at Elizabethtown College. He belonged to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Steelton, PA. He was a member of SS Marinkovich Church Choir (1950’s) and was a member of South Slav Strings Orchestra (1960’s). He worked at the Mechanicsburg Navy Supply Depot for 33 years as a computer programmer analyst. He received several group awards as well as individual Special Acts Awards while in the Fleet Support Division. He retired in 1994.

He enjoyed ethnic music, attending horse shows, and working in his yard. He also was a talented artist who did needlepoint and painted ceramics. He loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He passed away peacefully in his home on April 21, 2025.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Angeline (Radocaj) Vulich. Steve is survived by his sisters Sophia Furjanic (Michael), JoAnn Choich (Rudolph), Meleva Dermes (Richard), and his brother Milan Vulich (Cheryl). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

The viewing will be held at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 10-11 am. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11:00 am. The burial will be at Churchville Cemetery, and will conclude with a luncheon at the church hall.
