Thomas J. Cibort, 73, of Bressler, died Thursday, February 25, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was a self-employed artist and marbleized the altar and painted the Croatian version of the Bible on the walls of St. Mary''s Roman Catholic Church, graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School Class of 1965, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, American Legion Post in Dry Run, St. Lawrence Club, St. Mary''s Club, Friendship Fire Co. Club, Bressler, and the Deutscher Quartet Club.
Tom was the son of the late Frank M. Cibort, Sr. and Sara Greeley Cibort and is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Patricia M. Matesevac Cibort; two sisters, Carole A. Radic and husband, Vince and Kathleen Cibort Maletestinic; and a brother, Frank M. Cibort, Jr., all of Bressler; 13 nephews and 3 nieces. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Frances Cibort Simonic, brother-in-law, Mark Maletestinic, and sister-in-law, Maryann Sinkovitz Cibort.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Very Rev. David L. Danneker, his Pastor as Celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin. COVID-19 regulations will be enforced. Face masks and social distancing will be required.
