Thomas Doyle Jr.

Thomas Francis Doyle, Jr., 91, of Lower Paxton Twp., passed away peacefully at home on Friday August 27, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 29, 1929, son of the late Thomas F. Sr. and Mary Rose (Maurer) Doyle. Tom graduated from Harrisburg Catholic High School Class of 1947 and was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church. Thomas was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the United States Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant. He retired from the United States Postal Service as a Senior Operations Specialist.

Tom enjoyed spending time at his beach home in Delaware, boating, fishing, clamming, crabbing, model trains and railways, cheering for Notre Dame and he was very proud of his sons and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving children, Timothy Francis Doyle, Sr. and his wife Michele, Terrence Francis Doyle, and Todd Francis Doyle; grandchildren, Tonya Lee Doyle and Timothy Francis Doyle, Jr.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Margaret Mary (Gould) Doyle, who died on May 10, 2016; one son, Thomas Francis Doyle III; two siblings, Rosemary Stock and Robert James Doyle.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday September 2, 2021 at 11:00 am in Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd., Lower Paxton Twp. Burial will be held in Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Twp. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in his church. . Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.
