Vasil P. Mihailoff

Vasil P. Mihailoff, 89, of Chambers Hill, died on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was a retired Budget Analyst for the PA Department of Agriculture and a member of the former Holy Annunciation Macedonian-Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church, Steelton, where he served as Past President, Secretary and Treasurer, member and Past Master of Steelton-Swatara Lodge No. 775 F&AM, and Tall Cedars of Lebanon Harrisburg Forest No. 43. He was a Tipstaff for over 20 years at the Dauphin County Courthouse.

Vasil was the son of the late Peter and Stefka Mitseff Mihailoff and the husband of Carol P. Popcheff Mihailoff for 50 years and 7 months. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Vasilka Maria Mihailoff of Steelton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Maria Campbell, Michael (Sonny) and wife, Katherine, Sylvia Burden, Patricia Popcheff, Mitchell Popcheff and his wife, Ann, and Diane Mihailoff; nieces and nephews, Kimberly Pennington and husband, Todd, Maria Elena Turner, Georgia Campbell and wife, Kayly, Brenda Stone and husband, Andy, Kelly Campbell, Kimberly Klinge, Nicholas Popcheff and wife, Barbara, Stephen Popcheff and wife, Jaymie, and Gregory Popcheff; numerous great nieces and great nephews; and two great great nieces and one great great nephew. He was preceded in death by brothers, Dimitri Mihailoff and James Mihailoff, Lora Burden, Brother-in-law and Leslie Kohlman, Niece.

Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Stephens Eastern Orthodox Church, Indianapolis, IN. Entombment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephens Eastern Orthodox Church, 1435 N. Medford Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46222.
