Veronica Smith

Veronica E. (Rubinic) Smith 79, of Bressler, died peacefully on Friday August 6, 2021 in the Gardens of the West Shore.

She was born on December 29, 1941, the daughter of the late John and Ljuba Rubinic She was the 12th born of 16 children. Veronica was a life member of Prince of Peace -Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Steelton. Her main passions in life were her family, camping, reading, and gardening. She worked for the PA Department of Transportation and Villa Teresa Nursing Home.

Veronica is survived by her son, Kristian Smith (Gabby) of Florida; her daughter, Lisa Keegan of South Carolina; granddaughters Izabella, Olivia, Blythe, and a grandson Garrin; brothers, Peter Rubinic, Oberlin, Michael Rubinich, Bressler, Frank Rubinic, Oberlin; sisters Christina Mihelich, Annville, Sally Vranicar, Oberlin, Margaret Hribljan, Canada.

Veronica was preceded in death by four brothers; Tony Rubinic, John Rubenic, Joe Rubinic, and Tom Rubinic and five sisters, Mera Radic, Anita Eurieck, Catherine Gorup, Frances Zilinski, and Bernardine Haas.

Graveside service will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.
