Victor J. Handley, 80, of Steelton, died Thursday, July 18, 2024 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was a retired machinist for Harrisburg Steel Corp. and a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton.
Vic was the son of the late Gilbert and Rose Olsavsky Handley and is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Kathleen D. Updegrove Handley; three sons, Douglas V. Handley and wife, Dana of Lower Swatara Twp., Mark R. Handley, at home; and Brian G. Handley and wife, Tina of Steelton; two daughters, Jill M. Bolig and husband, Brad of Enola and Debra L. Handley of Camp Hill; a sister, Kathleen Hallman of Harrisburg; ten grandchildren, Ryan D., Nathan L., Jordan M. and Tristan J. Handley; Ashley M., Jamie L., Brittany A. and Kristen K. Bolig; Brandon V. and his wife, Guen and Ethan B. Handley; several nieces and nephews, as well as his pet dog "Jaxson". He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Handley; and three sisters, Elizabeth Krobath, Rosemarie Zerance, and Patricia Rodgers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 815 S. Second St., Steelton witih Rev. Steven J. Arena, his Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 am until 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin, PA 17113.
