Walter A. "Sonny" Celsky, Sr., 68, of Marysville and formerly of the Steelton''s West Side, died Saturday, February 12, 2022 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was a US Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, a truck driver for Scholastic Book Fair, and attended Steelton Mennonite Church.
Walter was the son of the late George and Lawanda L. Smith Celsky and the widower of Shirley Dively Celsky. He is survived by four daughters, Lisa Celsky of Harrisburg, Julie Morris and husband, Dave of Dauphin, Tammie Cooper and husband, Justin of Enhaut and Bobbie Jo Klinger of Joppa, Alabama; two sons, Walter Celsky, Jr. and wife, Melinda of Sunbury and Matthew Celsky and wife, Kara of Enola; two brothers, Dale and Keith Celsky, both of Harrisburg; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, one brother, one grandchild and one great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin with Rev. Dr. Alan C. Wenrich officiating. Inurnment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held on Friday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am in the funeral home.
