Ward Jacobs

Ward Emerson Jacobs of Harrisburg, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 after a brief illness.

He was born April 4, 1930 and attended William Penn High School before joining the United States Army where he served with occupation troops in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Harrisburg Zembo Temple, Tall Cedars of Lebanon Consistory and their Luncheon Club.

Ward was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Elnora Jacob and was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Jacobs and daughter, Cheri Thomas.

Ward is survived by his daughters, Cindy James & husband R. Michael, Etters and family, and Apryl Estright, Indiana & family; several nieces and a nephew Larry Jacobs & family, Janice Christian & family and Debra Baldwin & family; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Private burial will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Oberlin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or a charity of your choice.
