Willard "Woody" Woods

Willard D. "Woody" Woods, age 97, born October 19, 1926 in Wormleysburg, PA to Willard M. Woods and Elizabeth (Snavely) Woods passed away on July 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan (Stamm) and 6 siblings. He was a graduate of John Harris High School, Class of 1945, and served in the U.S. Army during Wold War II in the Pacific Theater.

Willard was a member of VFW Post #6650, Ocean City, NJ. He was retired from Bell Telephone and a longtime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Willard was of the Protestant faith. He leaves behind a son Adam (Bronwyn Kelly) of Pasadena, CA, a stepson, Eric (Teresa) Zimmerman of Conover, NC, and stepdaughter Karen (Jim) Swain of Palmyra, PA, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will take place on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisburg, with Rev. Dr. Alan Wenrich officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Homeland Hospice at Home at www.homelandathome.org
