Zelda Koup

Zelda Ann (Weicht) Koup, 86, of Oberlin, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at The Bridges of Bent Creek. Born in Everett, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ann (Mellot) Weicht. She was the loving wife of the late Larry Lee Koup, who passed away in 2002.

Zelda worked alongside her husband Larry, and her son David at Koup’s Cycle Shop in Oberlin where she acted as bookkeeper and Treasurer and took over as President after Larry’s passing until her retirement. She loved shopping, reading, and knitting, and was known to have a big sweet tooth.

Zelda is survived by her son David Koup and his wife Brenda; her grandson Sam Koup and his fiancé Shay Spurling; and her great-granddog, Ivy; as well as a host of nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Weicht.

The family would like to extend a personal thank you to the staff at The Bridges of Bent Creek and Residential Home Health and Hospice for all their compassion care.
