Scott Allen Carricato, 53, of West Hanover Township, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Scott was born on April 14, 1965 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Thomas J. and Rosemary (Mummert) Carricato.
Scott was a carpenter, builder, project manager, network administrator, and for over 30 years was the backbone of success for his father's award-winning custom home design company, Thomas J. Carricato and Sons. Scott took pride in the homes he built throughout the Central Pennsylvania area, through the business he and his brothers Jeffrey and Steven, helped their father create.
Scott found a passion for technology later in his life, pursuing and completing achievements of professional engineering certifications and graduation from an educational institute of technology as a solutions associate.
Scott was a creator, a protector, and a great father. He was an avid sports and car enthusiast and enjoyed serving others. Scott loved his wife dearly and couldn't have been more proud of his children, as well as his nieces and nephews. He will be missed greatly, and his children are honored to carry on his incredible legacy.
He is survived by his wife, Heather A. Carricato; his two sons, Ryan Scott Carricato and fiance' Kelsey of Marin County, CA and Joseph Scott Carricato; his daughter, Hannah Marie Carricato; his three brothers, Thomas J. Carricato, Jr. and wife, Donna, twin brother, Jeffrey M. Carricato and wife, Diane, and Steven C. Carricato and wife, Michelle; nine nieces, Nicole, Ashley, Leah, Giuliana, Kristina and Brianna Rose Carricato, and Rachel, Erica and Jennifer; and six nephews, Michael Carricato, and Brandon, Gregory, Anthony M., Anthony J., and Adam.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 12 Noon in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 815 S. Second St., Steelton with Very Rev. David L. Danneker, Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 9:30 am until 11:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Second St., Steelton.
