It is with very heavy hearts we are announcing the passing of Mike on April 13, 2020. Mike is finally free of pain after the peaceful departure in the comfort of his home. Mike had been suffering for 22 months with Esophageal cancer. Mike was born in Jacksonville, Florida on February 29, 1952 to Elvena Kneasel Schneider and the late Jacob (Jack) Schneider. Just to name a few of Mike's Favorite things, canoeing, kayaking, watching the ocean for hours on end, cruising (of which in November would have been # 26), cheering on his Dallas Cowboys and most of all spending time with his family. Mike was the loving husband to Patricia (Patti) Tadych Schneider with whom he would have been celebrating his 50th wedding anniversary on June 20. Mike is also survived by his adoring daughters Michelle O'Neal (Kenny) and Stefanie Schneider. Also his precious caring granddaughter who always put a twinkle in her grandfather's eyes Michaelyn (Mikie) Patrice Schneider. Surviving siblings Ronald (Cheryl) Schneider, Steven (Deb) Schneider, Thomas (Kristen) Schneider, Trina (William) Carmody and Lorrie (Robert) Guillory. Mike was a retired U.G.I. employee. Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services-Steelton is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions to your favorite charity would be accepted and appreciated. Per Michael's request a celebration of life will be celebrated at the family's convenience. Mike will be sorely missed by many friends and family. Much thanks to all who helped from Hospice of Central PA and also the many nurses of Andrews and Patel's office.
