Obituary of Betty Leo
Betty J. Hevel Leo, 90, of Kindred Place, 4700 Oakhurst Blvd., Susquehanna Twp., died Saturday, Octoberr 21, 2017 in her home.
She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Roman Catholic Church, Susquehanna Twp. and was a homemaker, avid collector of dolls, enjoyed baking, was a great entertainer, and loved working in her flower garden.
Betty was the daughter of the late Earl and Catherine Cain Hevel and the widow of Joseph R. Leo. She is survived by one son, Joseph J. Leo and his companion, Melissa of Susquehanna Twp.; three daughters, Mary Jo Saul and her husband, Ron of Lower Paxton Twp., Patricia L. Forrest and her husband, Allen of New Cumberland, and Janet M. Martinec and her husband, Tony of Lower Paxton Twp.; six grandchildren, Vicki Saul, Keith Forrest, Colleen Forrest, Joseph V. Leo, A.J. Martinec, and Augustus Martinec. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Deborah Flowers; three sisters, Anna Jane Buser, Bertha Mae Becker and Floss Stoops; and a brother, Earl Hevel, Jr.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 11:00 am in St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Roman Catholic Church, 2800 Paxton Church Rd., Susquehanna Twp. with Rev. Paul C. Helwig, her Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St., Steelton. Recitation of the rosary at 7:30 pm.
