Obituary of John Morgan
John J. Morgan, 81, of Palmyra, died Saturday, April 28, 2018 in The Gardens at Campbelltown, Palmyra.
He was born on April 17, 1937 in West Fairview, PA to the late John Morgan and Regina Russell Morgan Packer. John worked as a Cashier for 76 Truck Stop.
In the 1950's, John was involved in The Boys Club of Harrisburg. While he was with them, he was awarded Certificates for different activities he was involved in. In the 1952 and 1953, football seasons at Edison Junior High School, he was awarded The Athletic HES Association and The Athletic E Association. In the 1960's, John started bowling with the Harrisburg District Bowling Assn. He continued bowling in different leagues throughout his life until about the 1980's/1990's. From 2005-2012, John was a member of the Hershey Italian Lodge. When John resided at the Hershey Plaza Apartments, he was awarded several times for his volunteer service for the residents and staff. John's favorite sports teams were the Phillies and Penn State.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Morgan, his mother, Regina R. Russell Packer, and his stepfather, Leon Packer. John is survived by his cousin, Christina M. Stout of Duncannon, his friend, Georgia M. Richards of Hershey, PA, his Aunt Helen Fake of Enola and many Cousins around the country.
Burial will take place on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 1:30 pm in Resurrection Cemetery, 116 S. Oak Grove Rd., West Hanover Twp.
