Obituary of Mary Malinak

Mary T.Bobitz Malinak, 96, formerly of Harrisburg, died Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in Cumberland Crossings Carlisle. Mary was a US Navy Veteran of World War II, a retired Clerical Worker for the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot and a member of Prince of Prince Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton. Mary enjoyed playing bingo and saying her rosary. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Tonka Forjan Bobitz and the widow of Thomas A. Malinak. She is survived by one son, Thomas A. Malinak of Mechanicsburg; two brothers, Jake Bobitz of Harrisburg and Michael Bobitz of Enola. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Francis, John, Nicholas and Stevie Bobitz, and two sisters, Catherine Cieri and Annie Mudrinich. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11:30 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 815 S. Second St., Steelton with Very Rev. David L. Danneker, her Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military honors. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 357 S. Second St., Steelton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000 - Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
