Obituary of Mildred Petrovich

Mildred "Mickey" Malobovic Petrovich, 95, of Ecumenical Communities, Susquehanna Twp. and formerly of Steelton, died Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital.

Mickey was a graduate of Steelton High School Class of 1941, a retired Telephone Operator for Bell Telephone Co. in Harrisburg and Chicago, a former Secretary at the former Olmsted Air Force Base, Middletown, and retired from the Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg. She was a member of St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, Oberlin, where she served as a former Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the Serbian National Federation Lodge No. 37 and St. Nicholas Civic Club. She served as the Area Coordinator for Meals on Wheels from 2000 until 2015 and was granted a Proclamation from Dauphin County recognizing her service.

She was the daughter of the late Rade and Stana Malobovic and the widow of Nicholas Petrovich. She is survived by one son, Sam Petrovich and his wife, Diane of Steelton; one sister, Marie Sunajko of Oberlin; two grandchildren, Jessica Petrovich of Harrisburg and Dr. Nicholas Petrovich and his companion, Nichole Gannet, Esq. of Milford, DE; two great grandchildren, Devin and Jayden; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Sam Malabovic.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11:00 am in St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, Oberlin with Rev. Christopher Rocknage, her Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 9:30 am until 11:00 am in her church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Steelton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund of her church, 601 S. Harrisburg St. Oberlin, PA 17113.
