Obituary of James Tadych, Sr.
James D. Tadych, Sr., 88, of Colonial Park Care Center, Lower Paxton Twp. and formerly of Steelton, died Friday, November 16, 2018 in the Center.
Jim was a resident of Colonial Park Care Center for the last five years, where he received excellent care by all, especially Juan, Missy and Helen. He was a retired greeter for Walmart with over 20 years of service, a job he enjoyed most of his career. He was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Harrisburg.
Jim was the son of the late Edward and Carrie Snyder Tadych and the widower of Martha J. Jacobs Tadych. He is survived by one daughter, Patti Schneider and her husband, Mike of Harrisburg; one son, James D. Tadych, Jr.; two sisters, Helen John and husband, Carl of Harrisburg and Catherine Rhone of Oberlin; brother, Edmond Tadych of Chambersburg; granddaughters, Michelle O'Neal and husband, Kenny and Stefanie Schneider; and great granddaughter, Michaelyn Schneider. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Beatrice Johnson, John Tadych, Leon Tadych, and Mary Scott; and a nephew raised as a brother, Donald Tadych.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11:00 am in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Harrisburg with Rev. Juan Antonio Ortiz, Parochial Vicar, as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Middletown. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in his church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Steelton.
