Obituary of Mary Filepas
Mary A. "Amy" Dmitrovich Filepas, 94, of County Meadows Assisted Living, Mechanicsburg and formerly of Chambers Hill, died Friday, November 30, 2018 in Country Meadows, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a retired Administrative Assistant for the U.S. Government and a member of St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, Oberlin, the Circle of Serbian Sisters, and the Serbian National Federation Lodge No. 37.
Amy was the daughter of the late Miles and Anna Mikola Dmitrovich and the widow of George A. Filepas. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, JoAnn McCormick Filepas of Harrisburg; one sister, Catherine Shank of Seattle, WA; four grandchildren, Ellen Filepas Long, Michael A. Filepas, Jr., Laurie Filepas Brosius and husband, Michael, and Richard K. Filepas and wife, Ania; six great grandchildren, Alex, Evan, Calvin, and Clark Filepas, Parker Brosius, and Natalia Filepas; and two step great grandchildren, Derek and Rebecca Long. She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael A. Filepas, Sr. and Richard A. Filepas, and a sister, Elizabeth Bojanic.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11:00 am in St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, Oberlin with Rev. Christopher Rocknage, her Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in her church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Steelton.
