Obituary of Shirley Fissel
Shirley Jean Arendt Fissel (formerly Cupp), age 82, returned to her heavenly home on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018 in Winchester, KY, died from Alzheimer’s Disease.
Her true soulmate and husband of 42 years, William (Bill) Fissel, deceased, preceded her to eternal joy with their Lord. Together they were both longtime members of Freedom Chapel.
Shirley leaves behind her loving children, son, Richard Cupp with wife, Leisa; and her daughter Debra Norris with husband, Dennis, deceased. She had seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many loving Christian friends.
Shirley’s life may be summed up simply as she always put her Lord God first, her family second as they were her heart, along with her many adored friends and she put herself last as she always put others before herself.
She had several different careers, such as Tupperware manager and a secretary but her passions were creating floral arrangements and above all, her beloved Christian Puppet Ministry in which she created many characters and made each one unique herself, perfected this and then taught others from all over to make puppets also, as she spread the word of Jesus Christ to all, in person and on her television show. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
