Obituary of Stanley Semic
Stanley M. Semic, 53, of Shiremanstown, PA went to be with our Lord on Saturday May 25, 2019 after a long struggle with Diabetes. He was a kidney transplant recipient which extended and improved his life dramatically. Please consider Organ Donation.
Stan was born in Camp Hill, PA, the son of Donald Semic and the late Kaeron Louise Walker-Semic. He grew up in Mechanicsburg, PA and was a graduate of Cumberland County High School. Stan was a carpenter by trade and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He was a proud member of The Hamsters Motorcycle Organization, a worldwide motorcycle club for custom bike builders and riders. The Hamsters are a great group of guys that love to ride and share their talents in raising money for childrens’ charities. All of the Hamsters who knew Stan say they were blessed to have known him. The years that they didn’t see Stan at a rally the local saying was “Where’s Stan” He was always the life of the party and made all feel special in his presence. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson Ryder and his niece Jaidyn. He was the big kid in the room.
He is survived by his father Donald Semic and stepmother Louise Martin-Semic of Mechanicsburg; Daughters Cassie McCreary of Enola, Courtney Semic of Camp Hill and Taylor Semic of Harrisburg; Sister Lissa Semic of Camp Hill; Brother Andrew Semic and sister-in-law Susan Saytar-Semic of Mechanicsburg, Grandson Ryder and Niece Jaidyn.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:00 am in St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, 601 S. Harrisburg Street, Oberlin, Steelton, with the Rev. Christopher S. Rocknage, Pastor, Officiating. Burial at the conclusion of services will be in Churchville Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the church.
