Obituary of Alfreda Fure

Alfreda I. Hentz Fure, 97, of Ecumenical Communities, Susquehanna Twp. and formerly of Middletown and Steelton, died Thursday, October 17, 2019 in Ecumenical Communities.

She was a retired employee for the PA Dept. of Revenue of the Commonwealth of PA, a former member of the former St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Steelton, a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Middletown, and a former auxiliary member of the Steelton Italian Club.

Alfreda was the daughter of the late Joseph and Irene Platzer Hentz and the widow of Raymond M. Fure, She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Ann Fure of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Ian and Hayley Hollinshead; a former son-in-law, Phillip Hollinshead of Export; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 11:00 am in Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 280 N. Race St., Middletown with Rev. Ted J. Keating, her pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 am in her church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Steelton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 1513 Cedar Cliff Dr., Suite 100, Camp Hill, PA 17011..
