Obituary of Anna P. Shepler

Anna P. Padjen Shepler, 92, of The Middletown Home, and formerly of Lawnton, died Thursday, August 20, 2020 in the Home. She was a graduate of Steelton High School Class of 1945, a retired Secretary for Shepler's Drywall Contractors, Harrisburg, and a former Clerk for PP&L. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church Luncheon Club, Prince of Peace Fifty Plus Club, PA State Sports Hall of Fame, Hershey Italian Lodge, American Business Women's Assn., and American Legion Post 730, Penbrook. Anna was the daughter of the late Andy and Anna Jazavac Padjen and the widow of Andrew C. Shepler. She is survived by one brother, Andrew Padjen and his wife, Patricia of Shiremanstown; a sister-in-law, Mary Padjen of Bethlehem; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Samuel, Steve and George Padjen and her sister, Kathryn Deibler. The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the physicians and staff of The Middletown Home for their excellent care and love extended to Anna during her stay there. Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family in Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin with Rev. Robert Ryder officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be private. Current COVID-19 Restrictions and Guidelines for the Commonwealth of PA will be enforced. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Middletown Home, 999 W. Harrisburg Pike, Middletown, PA 17057 or Centenary United Methodist Church, 1010 Orchard Dr., Steelton, PA 17113.
