Dennis is the President and Owner of Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. He is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, Past President and member of the Dauphin County Funeral Directors Association; Past Chairman of the Board of SecurChoice (trust division of the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association; Past Board Member – Mellon Bank; Consultant for Volunteer Training – Hospice of Central Pennsylvania regarding grief and the funeral process and laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; Life Member of the Steelton Volunteer Fire Department; member of the Steelton Italian Club, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #382, Train Collectors Association and Lionel Train Collectors Association.
Dennis is the son of the late Margaret E. (Houseal) and Joseph A. Wiedeman. He is a 1963 Graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and received his associate degree from Temple University. He then continued his education at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, where he graduated cum laude. He also served with the United States Army Reserves.
He has been married since May 11, 1968, to Patricia A. (Falcone) Wiedeman and has one daughter, Lisa M. Wiedeman. Pat and Lisa are also employees of the funeral home. He is “Poppy” to his grandson, Cooper Dennis, who he enjoys spending time with.
He is member of the former St. James Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton and served on its Advisory Council. He is a current member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton. In his spare time, Denny likes to relax in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, and work on his Lionel train platform layout.
Lisa is the daughter of Dennis L. & Patricia A. Falcone Wiedeman and is mother to her son, Cooper Dennis Wiedeman-Krosnar, whom she adopted from Honduras. She is a 1987 Graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, attended Harrisburg Area Community College and graduated from Elizabethtown College in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in Marketing. After several years in corporate America, Lisa joined the family business on January 1, 1999, as the Marketing Director. She attended Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and became a Pennsylvania Licensed Funeral Director in 2007 and a Certified Cremation Services Specialist in 2017. In 2014, Lisa received her Pennsylvania Life Insurance License. In 2020, she became a Certified Crematory Operator.
Lisa currently sits on the Board of the World Surgical Foundation and Dauphin County Aspire Suicide Prevention Task Force. She also services as the Vice-President of the Dauphin County Funeral Directors Association. She served on the Board of Directors for 6 years for Bishop McDevitt High School and was former Chairperson of the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association Annual Golf Classic for 14 years, which benefitted the Highmark Caring Place. During her tenure as the Chairperson of the golf outing, over $300,000 was raised to help grieving children.
She is presently a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and is Vice President of the Dauphin County Funeral Directors Association.
Lisa was the President and Founder of the Steelton Business Association, she served on Steelton Borough Council and sat on the Steelton Senior Center Advisory Committee. She was president of the Steelton Community Development Foundation, served as President and Member of Prince of Peace Parish Advisory Council and was a past member of the Prince of Peace School Development Committee. She is a life member of the Steelton Volunteer Fire Department and member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church – Hershey.
Lisa and Cooper currently reside in Hershey. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys being mom, visiting Stone Harbor, camping, home decorating, having a house full of friends, kayaking, shopping, entertaining, cooking, crafting, and most of all spending time with friends.
Bill is a 1986 graduate of Hershey High School, 1990 Graduate of Point Park College, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and continued his education at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1991. He has been with the funeral home since April 1994.
He currently resides in Lawnton with his wife, Tammy M. Doyle Sibert and daughter, Amanda. He is the son of Robert and Georgianna Sibert, Hershey. He is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and was Former President of the Dauphin County Funeral Directors Association.
Bill’s hobbies include Scuba diving, traveling, spending time with family, camping, white water rafting and Bill enjoys creating specialized Craft Brews and enjoys riding his Harley Davidson Sport Glide.
Pat is the wife of Dennis L. Wiedeman since May 11, 1968, and is the mother of Lisa M. Wiedeman. Pat was born in Steelton, Pennsylvania and is the daughter of the late Anna C. (Mavrin) Falcone and Frank j. Falcone, Sr. She is a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, Class of 1963.
She is a former Girl Scout Leader for 18 years, former Treasurer of the Steelton Ambulance Committee, member of the former St. James Roman Catholic Parish, it’s Advisory Council and Activities Committee and she also was an office volunteer. She is currently a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton.
Her duties with the funeral home include staff management, funeral home management, assisting with viewing and funeral services and most importantly counseling and consoling the bereaved.
In her spare time, Pat enjoys spending time with family and friends. She enjoys the theatre and looks forward to vacationing in Stone Harbor, NJ. Her favorite activity is spending time with her grandson, Cooper.
Jillian “Jill” is the daughter of Kathleen Wright Kroos and the late Dr. Kenneth Kroos. She graduated from Upper Darby High School, Class of 1998, and in 2002 earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Washington College in Chestertown, MD. After working in corporate work environments for several years, she attended American Academy – McAllister Institute of Funeral Service and earned her Associates in Mortuary Science in 2015. She traveled to Oregon for several years before relocating back to Pennsylvania. She has volunteered with several charities that support animals and the homeless, including the Water Street Rescue Mission, New Leash on Life, and the Pennsylvania SPCA.
In her spare time, Jill enjoys camping, kayaking, reading, and gardening.
John lived in Steelton for a portion of his life and moved to Mansfield, then returned to Central Pennsylvania and presently lives in Mechanicsburg. John worked for UPMC in Security before joining the funeral home. He is a graduate of Steelton-Highspire High School, Class of 1986 and attended Mansfield University.
John enjoys assisting people and helping them at their greatest time of need.
In his spare time, John enjoys the mountains, hunting, weightlifting, mountain biking and spending time with his son, Cooper.
